One of the up-and-coming junior players in pickleball, Nicholas Golowich started playing the sport two years ago and quickly established himself, especially in doubles. At the 2019 Atlantic South Regionals, he won a gold medal in Men’s Doubles 5.0 19+ and during his short tenure on the courts, has captured five Nationals and US Open junior titles.
“I first started playing pickleball in May 2017 and I was immediately attracted to the sport because of it being relatively easy for a beginner to learn as well as the strategy behind the game.”
When first starting out, Nicholas credits players like Kyle Yates, Steve Paranto, Barry Waddell, Frank Anthony Davis, Byron Freso, Tom Wheeler, and John Hall with help in developing his game. His play on the court has developed so quickly, that Paddletek is his sponsor.
“Indian Wells is my all-time favorite place to play because of its world class venue and setting.”
Remember the name. You’ll be hearing a lot more of Nicholas Golowich.
