Open and Sr. Open Mixed Doubles brought a whole new level of energy and excitement to the Indian Wells Tennis Garden as the Margaritaville USA Pickleball National Championships began the transition from Skill/Age divisions to pro and the games top players take aim not only a national championship title but also a piece of the $75,000 cash prize purse.
With two, 64 teams draws (128 total teams) today, the buzz was everywhere as crowds gathered on virtually every court to watch their favorite players compete. At days end, the field was finally reduced to the following:

Wednesday evening also featured a very special Hall of Fame Presentation on the Margaritaville Center Court as we welcomed the three new Hall of Fame Inductee’s for 2018. These members include Bob Lanius, Earl Hill, and Fran Myer. In addition, 2017 Hall of Inductee Mark Friedenberg was on hand and honored as well. All of the hall of famers, including those who were not able to be here, have worked extremely hard to make the sport of pickleball what it is today and we are forever grateful to them.

Competition starts at 8:00 AM.
The Boathouse has coffee and limited food service available starting at 7AM. The Margaritaville License to Chill Bar and Stage kicks off with full food service beginning at 10AM with bar service 11AM – 8PM. The Margaritaville Pop-Up Bar will be open from 10AM – 5PM down by the lower courts. For evening entertainment, Mic Dangerously and The Cartoon Cowboys will be performing from 4-7PM in the Margaritaville Shade Pavilion 2. Players and spectators are encouraged to stop by the Interactive Fun Zone from 8AM-8PM for ping-pong, corn hole, and photo opportunities.
Be sure to also stop by the USA Pickleball Information Center and sign up for a guided tour of the Indian Wells Tennis Garden Stadium 1. With over 16,000 seats, this is the second largest tennis stadium in the world and one of the crown jewels for the sport. The Margaritaville Championship Court Live Cam is a special HD baseline-mounted camera, featuring an onscreen scoreboard and live court audio. This livestream is available daily from the official Event website. Due to licensing issues with the championship court music, the audio feed for this camera is unfortunately not available.
